Cathy Jacobs is more than a candidate—she is the steady voice of resilience, truth, and compassion our community can count on in these challenging times.
Known for her strength of character, wisdom, and lifelong service, Cathy has built her life around helping others and creating spaces of connection. In 1998, as a young mom who had just left a women's shelter, Cathy founded Angels Café with three young children under her wing. What began as a way to rebuild her own life quickly became a mission of service, safety, and community.
Twenty-seven years later, Angels Café has become a local legacy—a place where families gather, friends connect, and everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated.
With the support of her husband Dale, her Angel Café family, and community, Cathy is now stepping forward to serve as your City Councillor for Ward 1 with A Better Calgary Party.
Her mission is clear:
- Empower families with policies that strengthen communities.
- Support small businesses that drive Calgary’s economy.
- Restore trust in government through transparency, accountability, and respect for taxpayers.
Cathy believes City Hall should work for the people—not for the bureaucrats or the political elite. With her leadership, we can build a Calgary that honours our traditions, safeguards our freedoms, and leaves a brighter legacy for the next generation.
